East Africa consists of a large variety of beautiful and delicious food! There are so many different types of food made here is East Africa!
Breakfast
The people of East Africa would usually have some sort of bread. In Somalia and Somaliland they eat a bread called lahoh or canjeero, in Kenya and Uganda they have chapati's. They eat this with a vegetable stew and sour porridge (similar to the kenyan uji).
Sour milks and round cereals are very common to vagrants.
Lunch
Lunch is the most important meal of the day here. It is most likely to be served in the late afternoon and it is very heavy. You would eat mashed starchy meals made from grains and tubers. Some countries just have boiled basmati rice with a vegetable stew, fish or meat and potatoes. In Kenya, they will have Ugali often.
Dinner
Dinner is quite similar to lunch, except it is served in smaller quantities. You would sometimes have an East African dish called Kuku Paka, which is chicken coconut curry, served with rice or cooked beans. Also sugar and butter are served with bread.
