Attractions in Kenya
Nairobi National Park
You can see tons of wildlife here in the Nairobi National Park, it is one of Kenya's most successful rhinoceros sanctuaries.
Malindi
Malindi has many beautiful beaches that have crystal clear water and a variety of fish. You can go surfing, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing and more, here.
Mount Kenya
Mount Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa and it's the highest in Kenya. It's peaks are filled with snow. It is a hard climb all the way up to the top but there are lower peaks around it which are much more easier. It elevates up to 5,199 m (17,057 ft).
Samburu National Reserve
The reserve is a very quiet and peaceful place to be in. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo, hippos and crocodiles can all be found here! There's a lot of grassland and the Uaso Nyiro River runs through the reserve which attracts a lot of wildlife.
Hell's Gate National Park
This wildlife park is different to many others, as you can walk here without a guide. You can find a lot of wild life here such as lions, cheetahs and leopards.
Lamu Island
The island is very admirable, there are no roads on this island, just alleyways and footpaths. Most of the people who live here, walk to places or go by boat. Donkeys are used to deliver and transport goods and materials. There are only a few motorized vehicles used here.
Tsavo National Park
Tsavo National Park is the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. It is so huge that there are 2 sides, Tsavo West and Tsavo East. In Tsavo West there is a lot of gorgeous scenery with a volcanic landscape and on Tsavo East there are more open savannahs than you get from Tsavo West.
Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru is a very shallow lake in central Kenya. The bounty of algae in the lake attracts many flamingos! But due to pollution and enviromental degradation, the number of flamingos have become smaller and smaller.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park is small and is at the bottom of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is famous for getting close to free-ranging elephants and for the views you get of Mount Kilimanjaro. You also get the chance of meeting the Masai Mara here!
Masai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the top attractions in Kenya and it's the most famous game park in Kenya! A lot of tourists visit this reserve to watch the "Great Migration". This migration happens each year from July to October.
